LAN Sharing & Pairing

Using LAN Sharing and Browser View-Only Links

Relay can share dashboard tabs with other devices on the same local network.

Open LAN Settings

  1. Open Relay > Settings.
  2. Select LAN.

Browser view-only creates a stable local URL that shows the tab currently open on the source Mac.

  1. Turn on Enable browser view-only link.
  2. Choose or confirm the browser port.
  3. Copy the viewer link.
  4. Open the link in Safari or Chrome on the same network.

Browser view-only does not advertise to Relay peers or allow imports.

Relay-to-Relay LAN Pairing is only available to Relay Pro Subscribers

Relay-to-Relay LAN Pairing

Relay-to-Relay sharing lets other Relay clients discover, mirror, and import shared tabs.

  1. Turn on Enable LAN sharing.
  2. Optionally turn on Require pairing.
  3. Set or generate a pairing code.
  4. Enter the same code on the other device if pairing is required.

Import a Shared Tab

  1. Use the LAN menu in Relay's toolbar.
  2. Choose a discovered shared tab.
  3. Select Import Tab.

Troubleshooting

If peers do not appear, confirm both devices are on the same network and Relay has Local Network permission on macOS.
