Using Planning Center Modules
The Planning Center module can show plan information, a service rundown, team assignments, and a Services Live web view.
Add a Planning Center Module
- Add or select a tile.
- Add the Planning Center module.
- Open the module settings in the inspector.
Display Options
You can show or hide:
- Header
- Summary line
- Service rundown
- Service time columns
- Key, type, and length columns
- Team assignments
- Team member status
- Services Live web view
Services Live
The module can display Planning Center Services Live in an embedded web view. The first time, you may need to log in inside the embedded view.
You can also paste a custom Services Live URL in the module settings.
Auto-Advance Plans
Relay can check Planning Center and move a tab to the next upcoming plan after the selected plan date has passed.
Troubleshooting
If no items appear, confirm the selected Planning Center plan has items for the selected service time.
If team assignments are missing, confirm the tab has team settings and that the plan contains assigned people.
Using Person Modules with Planning Center Assignments
Person modules can be filled manually or linked to Planning Center team positions.
Add a Person Module
- Add or select a tile.
- Add the Person module.
- Open the module settings in the inspector.
Use a Custom Person
- Set Person Source to Custom.
- Enter the full name, role/position, and initials.
- Optionally choose a background image.
Use a Planning Center Assignment
- Set Person Source to PCO Team.
- Choose a team.
- Choose a position.
- Choose an assignment if multiple people are available.
- Turn on Show PCO badge or Show PCO team if desired.
Automatic Background Images
Relay can match person background images from a folder by name.
- Open Relay > Settings > General.
- Choose a folder of headshots.
- Name images to match people, such as
First Last.png.
Troubleshooting
If Planning Center positions do not appear, configure Planning Center for the current tab first.
If a headshot does not appear, confirm the image filename matches the person's name.
Using SPL Meter
The SPL Meter module displays sound level information from a Mac audio input.
Add an SPL Meter
- Add or select a tile.
- Add the SPL Meter module.
- Open the inspector.
- Choose the audio input and channel.
- Choose weighting and time response.
Weighting Options
- A: A-weighted SPL.
- C: C-weighted SPL.
- Z: Flat/unweighted SPL.
- C-A: Difference between C and A weighting.
Time Options
- Fast
- Slow
Calibration
Use calibration only with a steady known SPL source, such as a 94 dB calibrator.
- Enter the target dB value.
- Click Apply, or use auto-calibration if available.
- Confirm the offset looks reasonable.
Logging
The SPL Meter can auto-log SPL history in Live Mode. Choose a log folder in the module settings.
Troubleshooting
If the meter is paused, enter Live Mode and confirm microphone permission is enabled for Relay.
Using Live Transcription
Live Transcription converts a selected audio input into text on the dashboard.
Add Live Transcription
- Add or select a tile.
- Add the Live Transcription module.
- Choose the input source and quality settings in the inspector.
- Enter Live Mode to run transcription.
Input Sources
Depending on your Mac and permissions, Relay can use microphone input and supported system audio capture paths.
Transcript Tools
The module can:
- Show live transcript entries.
- Copy the transcript.
- Export the transcript as
.txt. - Clear the transcript.
- Jump to the latest transcript entry.
Word Triggers
Automation View can use Word Trigger nodes based on live transcription text.
Troubleshooting
If transcription does not start, check Microphone and Speech Recognition permissions in macOS.
If the microphone is busy, close other apps that may be using the same input device.
