# Trigger Nodes

> Start automation workflows based on specific events or thresholds.

Trigger nodes are the starting points of your automation graphs. When a trigger condition is met, a signal is sent down the graph to execute actions.

## App State Trigger

Fires when specific application events occur.

* **Setup:** Add the node and select the state (e.g., App Launched, Live Mode Enabled, Tab Changed).
* **Features:** Useful for resetting variables when entering Live Mode or sending initialization commands to consoles when Relay starts.

## PCO Plan Updated

Triggers when your connected Planning Center plan changes.

* **Setup:** Select your PCO Service Type and Plan.
* **Features:** You can trigger on *any* update, or use the live item picker to filter for specific item changes (e.g., firing a lighting cue exactly when the "Sermon" item goes live).

## Time

Triggers based on the system clock.

* **Setup:** Choose between a specific Time of Day or a recurring Interval (e.g., every 5 minutes).
* **Features:** Great for automated health checks, network pings, or daily reset routines.

## dB Threshold

Fires when an audio input crosses a specific decibel threshold.

* **Setup:** Select a measurement input from your Global Audio Settings, set the target dB level, and choose whether to trigger when going *above* or *below* the threshold.
* **Features:** Useful for auto-muting channels, triggering visual alerts on the dashboard, or logging loud events.

## Manual Trigger

Fires when an operator interacts with the dashboard.

* **Setup:** Add a Button module to a dashboard tile. Then, add a Manual Trigger node and link it to that specific button.
* **Features:** Allows operators to manually launch complex automation sequences (like a "Pre-Service Setup" macro) with a single click.

## Word Triggers \[BETA]

Triggers an automation when a specific word or phrase is detected.

* **Setup:** Requires the Live Transcription module to be active. Enter the specific trigger word in the node inspector.
* **Features:** Allows for voice-activated workflows (e.g., triggering a slide advance when a speaker says a specific phrase).
