# Troubleshooting: find fixes by topic

> One place to start when something in Relay is not working, with links to the fix for each area.

Start with the area that matches your problem. Each link goes to that page's troubleshooting section.

## Quick checks

Most issues come down to one of these:

1. **Permissions.** Confirm Local Network, Microphone, or Speech Recognition access under [Permissions](/relay/account/permissions).
2. **Same network.** Relay and the device or service must be reachable on the same network.
3. **License.** If a feature looks locked, refresh your status under [License](/relay/account/license).
4. **Restart.** After granting a permission, quit and reopen Relay.
