# Terms of Use

> The rules for using Rivr.

These terms are an agreement between you and OnDeck Apps for your use of Rivr. Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement ([https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/](https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/)) also applies. If the two conflict, these terms control.

## Conditions and advice are informational only

Rivr shows flow, weather, water conditions, condition scores, wading and access guidance, fly and rig suggestions, and fishing regulation summaries. This information comes from public sources and our own models. It may be delayed, incomplete or wrong.

* **Water is dangerous.** Flows can rise quickly, especially below dams. Never rely on Rivr alone to decide whether it's safe to wade, float or be near the water. Check conditions yourself, obey posted warnings and dam release schedules, and wear appropriate safety gear.
* **Regulations:** Rivr's summaries aren't the official regulations. Boundary matching using GPS is approximate. You're responsible for knowing and following the regulations published by the governing agency.
* **Fly identification** is a best guess.

## Your account

You're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete it at any time from Settings → Account.

## Your content

You own the trips, notes and photos you create. If you choose to share contributions, you give OnDeck Apps a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use them in anonymous form to improve Rivr, including to train its models. You can stop sharing and request deletion at any time.

## Acceptable use

Don't misuse Rivr or its servers. That includes scraping, reverse engineering our servers, interfering with the service, or submitting false data reports.

## Third-party data

Rivr uses data from government agencies and other providers under their own terms. See [Data Sources & Attributions](/rivr/attributions). Rivr isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any government agency or Apple.

## Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Rivr is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, OnDeck Apps isn't liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any injury, loss or citation resulting from reliance on information in Rivr. Our total liability won't exceed the amount you paid for Rivr in the past 12 months.

## Changes and termination

We may update these terms. If you keep using Rivr after a change, you accept the updated terms. We may suspend accounts that violate them.

## Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, USA.
