Relay for Mac uses a license or subscription to unlock Pro features. In 1.1.0, Relay also adds a stronger Relay Account workflow for restoring entitlements and linking supported purchases across devices.

Review your current status

  1. Open Relay > Settings.
  2. Go to License.
  3. Confirm whether Relay shows Free access, Pro access, or a linked account-backed entitlement.

Common tasks

  • Activate a license
  • Refresh license status
  • Manage a subscription
  • Deactivate a license on the current Mac
  • Sign in to Relay Account by email link
  • Refresh account entitlements
  • Link an App Store subscription to Relay Account when prompted

Relay Account

Relay Account can be used to:
  • restore user-scoped entitlements
  • link supported App Store subscriptions
  • keep account-backed licensing clearer across devices
If Relay asks you to sign in, it uses an email magic-link flow.

Troubleshooting

If Pro features remain locked:
  • Confirm the Mac is online.
  • Refresh the current license status.
  • If you use Relay Account, refresh entitlements there too.
  • If you purchased through the App Store, finish any pending account-link step shown in Settings.
