Version 1.2
What’s New in Relay 1.2
New Features
- Synced Tabs (Pro): Share one live, editable canvas across every Mac and iPad running Relay on your network — no cloud required. One device hosts a tab, others join it from a “Sync” pill in the toolbar, and layout or content changes push to everyone automatically. Device-specific connections (ProPresenter, Resolume, Shure/Sennheiser, NDI, DAW/MIDI, audio inputs) always stay local to each machine, even on a synced tab. If a host goes offline, joined devices get a clear prompt to reconnect, keep their own local copy, or remove the tab.
- Universal Automation: Automation graphs are no longer locked to a single tab. Promote any graph to Universal and it runs across every tab that needs it, with a new mode picker and scope controls right in the toolbar.
- Standard Console Actions: Automation can now directly trigger scene recall, mute, level, and pan on Behringer X32/M32, Yamaha DM7/Rivage, and Allen & Heath consoles — no third-party bridge required.
- Tile Distribute Tools: Select multiple tiles and instantly arrange them with new distribute and grid-distribute controls, including one-click fill-window layouts. Buttons now show a live preview of the resulting grid instead of a generic icon.
Improvements
- Dashboard tiles can now be sized down to 44×44pt (previously 160×120pt), so compact button layouts fit much more densely.
- Canvas panning and zooming is noticeably smoother on dashboards with lots of tiles, and trackpad pan/zoom no longer gets swallowed by scrollable content inside a module.
- Word Trigger automation nodes now support per-rule output ports, so each matched phrase can route to its own downstream action.
- Redesigned button icon picker: a searchable popover across roughly 340 SF Symbols, replacing the old preset grid and free-text entry.
- A new in-app “What’s New” screen shows your update history, with an automatic popup after Relay updates itself.
- Added a proper Quit button to the home screen sidebar; Quit and Close now respond immediately even while a dialog is open.
- Settings polish: Save/Cancel controls on the General tab, alphabetized device lists, and numeric fields no longer flicker while you type.
- RTA and Spectrograph tiles now show a clear “No audio input available” state instead of a blank tile when nothing is selected.
- New opt-in consent screen for diagnostics and crash reporting during onboarding.
- Roster CSV/Excel import is now built directly into the Rosters Manager.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed Shure wireless connections not recovering automatically after a network drop. Relay now detects a lost connection immediately, shows “Reconnecting” instead of “Offline,” and retries on its own — previously this required toggling Live Mode off and on twice.
- Fixed Live Mode unexpectedly exiting when tapping two different interactive tiles in quick succession.
- Fixed dashboard resize handles that would stop responding, show the wrong cursor, or silently fall through to a move-drag instead of a resize.
- Fixed multi-tile group resizing occasionally snapping a follower tile to the wrong height on release.
- Fixed dashboard edits being silently dropped when made immediately after reordering or removing a tab.
- Fixed a crash and hang when upgrading to Relay Pro from the home screen.
- Fixed a reappeared horizontal scrollbar under the tab strip and other horizontal lists.
- Fixed a crash when switching tabs while an automation graph was open.
- Fixed “Auto” transport mode for Shure ANX4/ADTD/ADTQ receivers not actually detecting the best connection type.
- Fixed Overview polling generating extra network traffic that could destabilize some receivers’ connections.
Version 1.1.4
Relay 1.1.4 (Beta)
New- Synced Tabs. A whole new way to share your work across devices — pick a tab and keep it live-synced with your other Macs and iPads on the same network. Edit it anywhere and everyone sees the change instantly. This is different from Mirroring, which only lets you view another device’s screen; Synced Tabs are fully editable and stay in step automatically, even if a device drops offline and reconnects later.
- Reworked Button module. Fit more buttons per module, plus a wider set of new icons to choose from.
- Approve devices before they connect. When another device wants to sync or mirror with you, you’ll now get a clear approval prompt — nothing connects without your say-so. You can also forget a device later if you no longer want it connected.
- Sync and Mirror settings are now organized into one clean page, so it’s easier to see which devices are connected and reconnect with a single click.
- Shure wireless devices run lighter on your Mac, especially during longer shows with lots of channels active.
- Still working on full ANX4 and ADTD support — more to come in an upcoming beta.
- Button icons and sizing changes now apply instantly and stick, even when you’re adjusting things quickly.
- Fixed duplicate results showing up when searching for icons.
- Devices on your network are now found reliably, and reconnect faster when a synced tab’s host comes back online.
- Toolbar labels for Sync and Mirror no longer get cut off on Mac.
- What’s New won’t pop back up after you’ve already seen it.
- Selecting a mirrored tab now properly starts the pairing process instead of getting stuck.
Version 1.1.3
What’s New in Relay
New Features
- Real-Time Analyzer (RTA): View frequency bands of your audio inputs in real-time with new bar and filled-curve display modes and peak-hold capabilities.
- Spectrograph: A new scrolling waterfall view for visualizing audio frequency distributions over time.
- Global Audio Settings: Manage all your audio inputs, transcription configurations, and per-input SPL calibration centrally.
- Advanced Transcription Controls: Fine-tune auto-gain sensitivity, apply word substitutions, and enable profanity masking on a per-input basis.
- SPL Input Logging: Record SPL data for specific inputs directly to CSV files, complete with a pulsing green indicator on your tiles when recording is active.
Improvements
- Shure Overview Hub: A new centralized polling system for Shure wireless devices featuring dynamic METER_RATE tiers for greater efficiency.
- Upgraded dashboard tile resizing with smart guides, a floating size HUD, and a consolidated resize layout for smoother editing.

- Optimized performance by skipping redundant polling for METER_RATE-capable Shure wireless microphones.
- Settings changes for audio inputs now take effect immediately without requiring restarts.
- Existing module-specific transcription settings now automatically migrate to the new global system on launch.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a crash related to the FFT calculations when selecting an input for the RTA or Spectrograph.
- Corrected C-A audio level calculations and removed the double application of calibration offsets in the dB reader.
- Fixed an issue where SPL Level logging could silently fail when saving to protected folders like Desktop, Documents, or Downloads. Relay will now correctly show an error banner requesting folder permissions.
- Reduced unnecessary error reporting and diagnostics from Shure wireless connections.
Version 1.1.2
