Relay provides several utility modules that help you structure your dashboard, display static information, and execute simple commands.

Informational Modules

Text

  • Setup: Add the Text module and type your content. Use the inspector to adjust fonts, sizes, and colors.
  • Features: Supports rich text formatting. Use it to label sections, provide operator cues, or display static lyrics.

Image

  • Setup: Add the Image module and upload a file from your Mac.
  • Features: Supports standard image formats. Useful for branding your dashboard with a church logo or displaying reference stage plots.

Document

  • Setup: Add the Document module and select a PDF or Word document.
  • Features: Provides a scrollable, preview-only view. Perfect for keeping rundowns or schedules visible without leaving the app.

Webpage

  • Setup: Add the Webpage module and enter a valid URL.
  • Features: Embeds a live web view. Useful for displaying external resources, secondary dashboards, or web-based tools.

Structural and Action Modules

Separator

  • Setup: Add the Separator module to a tile containing multiple other modules.
  • Features: Adds a visual break (horizontal or vertical line) to help you group related controls visually.

Button

  • Setup: Add a Button module, then add one or more buttons to it — a single Button module now holds a group of buttons sharing a common layout and style, not just one. Customize each button’s label, icon, and color individually, and choose a grid layout for the group.
  • Icon picker: A searchable popover across roughly 340 SF Symbols, replacing the older preset grid and free-text entry — type to filter instead of scrolling or typing an exact symbol name.
  • Features:
    • Interaction mode: Momentary (fires while held) or Toggle (flips on/off).
    • Confirmation: Optionally require a confirm step before the button fires, with a custom title and message — useful for anything destructive or hard to undo live.
    • Cooldown: Set a minimum interval between presses to prevent accidental double-fires.
    • Availability: Restrict a button to Live Mode only, Edit Mode only, or always available, and optionally disable it while its action is running or during its cooldown.
    • Feedback: Animate on press, show a running indicator while the action executes, and show a result badge for a configurable duration afterward.
    • Buttons can trigger in-app actions directly (like clearing transcriptions or SPL logs) or be bound to Manual Triggers in Automation View to kick off larger automated workflows.

Picker

  • Setup: Add a Picker module and link it to a Roster or a static list of options.
  • Features: Lets operators dynamically assign people or equipment to specific roles directly from Live Mode.

Time and Clocks

Time

  • Setup: Add the Time module and choose your preferred time format (12h/24h) and styling.
  • Features: Displays the current system time in a highly visible format to keep your team on schedule.

Timecode

  • Setup: Configure incoming MIDI or OSC timecode in your global settings, then add the Timecode module.
  • Features: Monitors and displays incoming timecode data, ensuring operators stay synchronized with your DAW or lighting timeline.
