Relay provides several utility modules that help you structure your dashboard, display static information, and execute simple commands.

Informational Modules

Text

  • Setup: Add the Text module and type your content. Use the inspector to adjust fonts, sizes, and colors.
  • Features: Supports rich text formatting. Use it to label sections, provide operator cues, or display static lyrics.

Image

  • Setup: Add the Image module and upload a file from your Mac.
  • Features: Supports standard image formats. Useful for branding your dashboard with a church logo or displaying reference stage plots.

Document

  • Setup: Add the Document module and select a PDF or Word document.
  • Features: Provides a scrollable, preview-only view. Perfect for keeping rundowns or schedules visible without leaving the app.

Webpage

  • Setup: Add the Webpage module and enter a valid URL.
  • Features: Embeds a live web view. Useful for displaying external resources, secondary dashboards, or web-based tools.

Structural and Action Modules

Separator

  • Setup: Add the Separator module to a tile containing multiple other modules.
  • Features: Adds a visual break (horizontal or vertical line) to help you group related controls visually.

Button

  • Setup: Add a Button module. In the inspector, customize its label and color.
  • Features: A simple push-button that can trigger in-app actions (like clearing transcriptions). Buttons can also be bound to Manual Triggers in Automation View to execute complex workflows.

Picker

  • Setup: Add a Picker module and link it to a Roster or a static list of options.
  • Features: Lets operators dynamically assign people or equipment to specific roles directly from Live Mode.

Time and Clocks

Time

  • Setup: Add the Time module and choose your preferred time format (12h/24h) and styling.
  • Features: Displays the current system time in a highly visible format to keep your team on schedule.

Timecode

  • Setup: Configure incoming MIDI or OSC timecode in your global settings, then add the Timecode module.
  • Features: Monitors and displays incoming timecode data, ensuring operators stay synchronized with your DAW or lighting timeline.
