Rivr’s Fly Box scanner can classify fly patterns from a photo and help you keep an inventory of your box.

Scan a fly
- Open Fly Boxes.
- Choose Capture Photo or Choose Photo from Library.
- Review the suggested pattern and category.
- Correct the name when Rivr gets it wrong, then save the item to your box.
Scan photos are processed on-device by Rivr’s Core ML classifier. Good lighting, a single centered fly, and a simple background generally produce the clearest result.
Correct a result
Treat the classification as a suggestion. Use the correction controls to choose the pattern name that best matches your fly. Your correction stays useful even when you do not opt in to help improve fly identification.
Optional improvement sharing
If you opt in under Settings → Help Improve Fly ID, Rivr sends a small cropped photo of the fly and the pattern name you chose. It does not send your location, account details, or a full photo of your box. Uploads are limited to Wi-Fi.
You can stop new uploads immediately. You can also request deletion of photos already sent from Rivr’s servers; a model that has already learned from a photo cannot be made to forget it.
