Rivr can notify you when a saved location crosses a condition you care about. Open Settings → Notifications & Alerts to configure a saved location.
Alert types
Depending on the location’s available data, you can configure alerts for:
- A percentage change in flow
- A CFS change
- A flow level
- A condition-score threshold
- A larger scheduled release later in the day
Not every alert type is available for every location.
Notification frequency
Choose how often Rivr checks for alert conditions. Available intervals include every hour, two hours, four hours, and eight hours.
Rivr sends a notification when a condition is reached rather than repeatedly notifying you for the same unchanged reading.
Test and troubleshoot alerts
Use Send Test Notification in the alert settings to verify that notifications are allowed. If the test does not appear, check iOS notification permissions for Rivr and confirm that the location has been saved before configuring its alerts.
Alerts are not emergency warnings. River levels can change faster than a notification can arrive. Follow official emergency and dam-release notices.
